The Lodge grounds are bounded on the south by 1000 feet of uninterrupted
private shoreline on 351-acre Wilson Lake, which is connected to the famous
1200-acre Phillips' Chain of Lakes. A downstairs door from the Lodge leads directly
to the lake and docks. There is a private weedless, sandy swimming beach with a raft. There is also a fire pit and a picnic
table, which is perfect for family gatherings. For the fishing enthusiast, 14’ Alumacraft fishing boats with oars
and anchors are included at
both the Lodge and the River. Canoes and kayaks with paddles are included with weekly rentals. A 22' Suncruiser pontoon boat w/ 70hp four stroke, a Suzuki 8hp outboard motor, and a MinnKota trolling motor with battery, is available for a weekly or daily fee. For guests bringing their own boats, there is a public landing serving Wilson Lake 1 mile from the Lodge. There is ample space for boat trailer parking at the Lodge. |

Elk River Farm, the Lodge's sister property, boasts very private access to a four mile stretch of the secluded Elk River. A landing is reserved for Lodge guests eager for scenic canoe or kayak trips or trophy Musky, Smallmouth Bass and Walleye fishing. |

The Ruffed Grouse Lodge is a no-smoking resort. We are conveniently located three miles from downtown Phillips. There is wonderful antiquing, public tennis courts, an indoor pool as well as a 9-hole golf course within 10 minutes drive, as are a variety of excellent restaurants, many of which are accessible from the Lodge by boat. For snowmobilers and ATV riders, Price County boasts hundreds of miles of trails that are beautifully maintained by local clubs and enthusiasts. Our winter lakes are perfect for ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. |
